Joe Rogan is showing support for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s controversial speech to high U.S. army officers about revamping the army and ridding it of “woke” tradition and “politically toxic garbage.”
Throughout Tuesday’s episode of his “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast that includes The Crimson Clay Strays band, Rogan stated the federal government is establishing a “moral and ethical mandate” throughout the armed forces with “no more identity politics and bullshit,” including that the Trump administration’s strategy “makes sense.”
Rogan argued that the “most important thing” the nation’s army management can do is “be ready.”
“Be ready, have the best [and] most capable military that’s humanly possible given the resources that we have today. ‘This is what our goal is. This is what our job is,’” Rogan stated.
The Crimson Clay Strays’ bass participant, Andrew Bishop, then questioned Rogan on whether or not the Trump administration “needed to call everybody together” for the highly-criticized multimillion-dollar assembly to perform that.
“You saw what the fuck was going on over the last four years,” Rogan replied, taking intention on the Biden administration. “You got guys in dresses talking about how it’s really important to have inclusiveness.”
In a mocking tone, Rogan continued, “‘The most important thing about the military is inclusivity.’”
Claiming that “we had crazy people that were in charge of very important positions,” Rogan then appeared to reference nuclear engineer and LGBTQ activist, Sam Brinton, who turned the nation’s first brazenly gender-fluid senior authorities official in 2022.
Brinton, a former deputy assistant secretary of the Workplace of Spent Gas, was let go by the Division of Power after changing into embroiled in two separate allegations of bags theft.
“[Brinton] was stealing women’s clothes. That guy was in charge of like, fucking nuclear waste, and he’s going around stealing people’s underwear with lipstick and a bald head,” Rogan stated, laughing.
Joined by Trump, Hegseth spoke at a uncommon assembly with senior army officers on the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia, Tuesday.
Throughout his speech, Hegseth mentioned the upcoming revamp of the U.S. army and railed into “woke” tradition and “politically toxic garbage” in entrance of a whole bunch of army leaders.
“This administration has done a great deal from day one to remove the social justice, politically correct, and toxic ideological garbage that had infected our department to rip out the politics,” Hegseth stated. “No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses.”
He added: “No more climate change worship. No more division, distraction, or gender delusions. No more debris. As I’ve said before, and will say again. We are done with that shit.”
Drawing additional ire, Hegseth proclaimed that he doesn’t need to see anymore “fat generals and admirals” in service whereas hammering down the significance of sustaining strict health requirements.
“Frankly, it’s tiring to look out at combat formations, or really any formation, and see fat troops,” he stated. “Likewise, it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon leading commands around the country and the world.”
Hegseth added, “It’s a bad look. It is bad, and it’s not who we are.”
Hegseth’s speech confronted criticism. Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling known as his and Trump’s remarks throughout the assembly “insulting” and “offensive.”
Hegseth’s speech got here amid the Trump administration’s sweeping efforts to dismantle variety, fairness and inclusion initiatives throughout the federal authorities.
