Kevin Bacon on Monday shared a heartbreaking video tribute on Instagram to his late good friend Rob Reiner, who was discovered lifeless alongside his spouse, Michele Singer Reiner, of their California residence. Reiner had directed Bacon within the 1992 drama “A Few Good Men.”
“I’m not sure how to do this, but Rob Reiner gave me a job in ‘A Few Good Men,’” mentioned Bacon. “Sometime in the ’90s, I guess it was, and I was over the moon to get that job, because, people may or may not know, but ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ is my all-time favorite movie.”
Reiner had confirmed himself as a top-notch director with a cult-classic comedy in “Spinal Tap,” an iconic coming-of-age movie in “Stand By Me,” a first-rate fantasy romance in “The Princess Bride,” a horror thriller in “Misery” and the beloved rom-com “When Harry Met Sally.”
“A Few Good Men” was penned by “West Wing” creator Aaron Sorkin, and it starred Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore and Kiefer Sutherland. Moore wrote in her personal tribute that it’s arduous to course of “the unfathomable devastation” of shedding Rob and Michele Reiner.
Bacon went on to tearfully recall starring within the courtroom basic: “And when he called me, I was just so thrilled.” Then he added, “But the making of that movie was one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had on a set.”

And Michele would be there, and the two of them were so great together. Kyra would come by, she was pregnant, and bring [our son] Travis. It was a magical time.”

Reiner and his spouse have been discovered lifeless Sunday at their Brentwood residence in Los Angeles.
Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested in connection along with his mother and father’ deaths. The late director collaborated along with his son on the 2015 movie “Being Charlie,” a drama loosely primarily based on Nick Reiner’s personal experiences with dependancy.
Bacon ended his video saying, “I’m just sending love to everybody that knew him, because I know that everyone’s hurting today.”
