Layton Giordani Drops Hypnotic Techno Observe, "Better Than U Thought"

Date:

Layton Giordani, the NY-based DJ and producer quickly garnering recognition as a tastemaker within the techno scene, has launched a brand new single, “Better Than U Thought,” on Insomniac’s Manufacturing unit 93 imprint.

“Better Than U Thought” is a vocal-driven techno track characterised by a driving bassline, sharp percussion, acid-fueled synths and a fascinating vocal that delivers an unforgettable hook. Giordani’s newest is yet one more masterful mix of infectious and hypnotic components.

Reflecting on the observe’s creation, Giordani shares: “I was playing a Euro weekend in Amsterdam/Berlin, and I was looking to play a more driven techno set, but I also wanted a more sexy aesthetic, so I started surfing the web for vocals. I found this amazing slow vocal, sped it up, added an acid hook, and here we are.”

“Better Than U Thought” follows the discharge of “Freaks at Evening,” which dropped on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode imprint in June, and a high-profile remix of Dom Dolla’s “girl$” the next month.
