A longtime Boston EMT who was identified for her “true warrior spirit” and “her exceptional strength” has died after a protracted sickness.
Regina Suprin — a lifelong metropolis resident who served with Boston EMS for greater than 13 years — has handed away, the company introduced on Tuesday. She was lively obligation with Boston EMS when she died.
“Throughout her career, EMT Suprin built a reputation as a consummate professional and a steadfast colleague,” Boston EMS posted.
She served in a number of roles — in discipline operations, in dispatch operations, as a lead discipline coaching officer within the academy, and most lately within the digital affected person care reporting (ePCR) workplace.
“In every assignment, Regina brought unmatched dedication, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence that strengthened our department,” Boston EMS wrote.
“A gifted mentor, she helped shape a generation of EMTs and left an impact that will carry forward for years to come,” the company added.
She was honored with quite a few commendations, together with the Chief of Division Award for her professionalism and excellent service.
“Regina will also be remembered for her wicked sense of humor, her kindness, and her exceptional strength — a true warrior spirit,” Boston EMS wrote. “She was a supportive colleague each on and off obligation, usually cheering on our EMS hockey group and lifting up these round her.
“Even as she faced a long illness, EMT Suprin continued to serve with extraordinary courage, inspiring everyone who knew her,” the company added. “She is already deeply missed by her Boston EMS family. Our hearts are with all who loved Regina. Rest in peace, EMT Suprin. We’ve got it from here.”
The Boston Public Health Fee wrote, “Thinking of all of our EMS colleagues and holding EMT Suprin’s loved ones in our hearts. Thank you for your service and dedication to our city, EMT Suprin.”
