Lyft driver allegedly rapes passenger in Massachusetts

One more rideshare driver has been accused of sexually assaulting a passenger within the Boston-area.

Brockton man Luis Carlos Ramos Teixeira, 27, allegedly raped a girl exterior her Somerville residence over the weekend.

He has been charged with rape and indecent assault and battery on an individual over 14, in response to the Middlesex DA’s workplace.

Somerville Police detectives on Saturday responded to a neighborhood hospital to talk with a girl who stated she had been sexually assaulted by a Lyft driver.

After interviewing the lady, police recognized the suspect as Teixeira.

He allegedly picked up the lady at a Boston location and introduced her residence to Somerville — the place he allegedly acquired into the backseat of the car and sexually assaulted her.

On Sunday, Somerville Police detectives together with members of Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police discovered Teixeira in Brockton, they usually arrested him on a warrant.
