Man shot, killed in standoff with Fall River Police: DA

Fall River Police shot and killed a person throughout an hours-long armed standoff.

Domonick Knight, 38, died following a standoff with police early Tuesday morning, in accordance with a quick assertion from the Bristol County District Lawyer’s workplace.

Fall River Police had been dispatched to 117 Langley St. at roughly 1:30 a.m. Tuesday for stories of an armed man inside that residence and making statements of self-harm. Police evacuated the opposite residence after which tried to barter with Knight, in accordance with the DA assertion.

After negotiations stalled, police had been capable of pressure entry to the residence at about 3:15 a.m. Police and Knight shot at each other. Knight was then discovered on the second-floor touchdown struggling fro a gunshot wound and with two weapons close by, in accordance with the DA launch.

Knight was transported to a neighborhood hospital and pronounced useless.

“This is an ongoing and active investigation,” per the DA workplace assertion. “An autopsy along with other forensic testing is pending. No further information can be disseminated at this time.”
