Massachusetts firefighter dies after struggling cardiac arrest within the line of responsibility

A Brockton firefighter has died after he went into cardiac arrest on a name, the fireplace division introduced in a launch Sunday.

“Firefighter (Jeffrey) Albanese fought very hard but succumb to his injuries just after 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night, December 21, 2024,” Brockton Fireplace Chief Brian Nardelli wrote. “Firefighter Albanese fought a courageous battle with his family and brother and sister Firefighters by his side.”

On Dec. 9, the chief mentioned, Albanese was responding to an incident when he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.

Albanese was resuscitated by his fellow firefighters, Brewster EMS after which medical workers at Signature Brockton Hospital, the discharge mentioned.

The firefighter was then taken to Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston the identical day, Nardelli wrote, the place he acquired “incredible care” till his demise Saturday.
