A 27-year-old man was busted with 9 explosives inside his truck Thursday morning, based on police who had investigated reported explosions earlier this week.
Princeton man Jason E. Baldarelli, Jr., has been arrested and charged with illegal possession of explosive units.
Police launched the investigation early Monday morning when an officer at 4 a.m. responded to Wheeler Highway for a report of explosions.
By the preliminary investigation and with the assistance of a witness, the cop recognized Wheeler Highway resident Baldarelli as a suspect.
The officer labored with the Worcester County District Legal professional’s Workplace to acquire a search warrant because the investigation continued.
Authorities then labored collectively to cease Baldarelli’s truck on Thursday at round 7 a.m. — throughout which officers discovered 9 explosive units contained in the automobile.
Following his arrest, police had been looking out his Wheeler Highway residence.
“The explosive devices recovered from the vehicle are scheduled to be rendered safe today during a controlled detonation by the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad within the Town of Princeton,” Princeton Police posted on Thursday.
The division added, “The Princeton Police Department extends our sincere thanks to our residents, Law Enforcement and Fire partners for their collaboration and help throughout this investigation.”
