Massachusetts State Police, Wakefield police examine reported ‘targeted’ capturing

State and native police had been investigating a reported “targeted” capturing Tuesday night time.

Wakefield Police and Mass State Police responded to a capturing on Lakeshore Drive after 7 p.m.

“We believe this to be a targeted incident and not random,” Wakefield Police posted.

“There is a heavy police presence in that area and around Cumberland Farms on Lowell St.,” police added. “The scene is secure but we are actively looking for an unknown number of suspects. If you see anything suspicious we ask that you call 911 to report it to us. If you observed anything you believe may be helpful to our investigation please call (781) 245-1212 x. 3”

The native division thanked Massachusetts State Police, Studying and Saugus Police for serving to within the investigation.
