NASHUA, N.H. — A Nashua mom is going through fees after her 6-year-old daughter examined optimistic for cannabinoids and cocaine following hospitalization for ingesting a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) gummy.
Along with endangering the welfare of a kid, a Class A misdemeanor, Paige Goulet, 30, is charged with tampering with witnesses and informants, a Class B felony, after she allegedly instructed a witness to not cooperate with authorities throughout the investigation, in response to the Nashua Police Division.
The alleged incident was dropped at mild on Nov. 3, when the state Division for Kids, Youth and Households reported the case to police after the kid was hospitalized for ingesting a THC gummy, which is a sweet infused with THC.
Police stated that hospital exams revealed the woman had each cannabinoids — compounds sometimes related to marijuana — and cocaine in her system.
Detectives from the Nashua Police Division’s Particular Investigations Division launched an inquiry and concluded that Goulet had uncared for her responsibility to look after her juvenile daughter. Police moreover decided Goulet advised a witness to not cooperate with the investigation, resulting in an arrest warrant.
On Monday, the Meredith, N.H. Police Division arrested her on the warrant, and the Nashua Police took her into custody and formally charged her.
Goulet was launched on $300 money bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on the ninth Circuit Nashua District Courtroom at 1 p.m. Jan. 7.
