A Lynn man is charged with stabbing the pregnant former girlfriend of his brother to loss of life.
Zachary Vozzella, 26, was arrested and charged in Lynn District Courtroom Thursday morning with homicide and assault and battery with a harmful weapon. Authorities say he murdered Brianna Welsh, 25, of Lynn, on Wednesday morning whereas her former boyfriend and his youthful brother, Brendon Vozzella, 24, was in custody on a home violence cost.
Zachary Vozzella pleaded not responsible to the fees. Choose David E. Frank ordered him held with out bail. The case is scheduled to return to court docket on Sept. 10 for a possible trigger listening to.
“The tragic violence that has taken the life of Brianna Welsh and her unborn child has created an unbearable loss for her family,” Essex DA Paul Tucker stated in a press assertion. “While their loss cannot be repaired or remedied, I hope that our efforts to seek justice on her behalf assures them that we and the community support them.”
Lynn Police responded to Welsh’s residence at 254 Lynnway #329 on Wednesday morning and located Welsh useless from obvious “multiple sharp force injuries” in response to a DA assertion. Welsh shared the house with Brendon Vozzella, authorities say.
Lynn Police Chief Christopher Reddy stated that he extends the division’s “deepest condolences to Brianna’s family and pledge our continued support as we seek justice on her behalf.”
Lynn Mayor Jared Nicholson stated the town is left “with a profound grief” over Welsh’s loss of life.
“That she was an expectant mother makes this even more tragic, chilling, outrageous, and impossible to comprehend,” he added.
