On Thursday, the web ignited as Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s bromance combusted in astonishing vogue, with the 2 titans of ego lobbing figurative grenades at one another on social media.
And on Thursday evening’s episode of “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” the host gawked on the spectacle, noting sarcastically, “Donald Trump and Elon Musk engaged in a very gentlemanly, one might even say, scholarly, debate on the merits of tax cuts and government spending.”
“I’m just kidding,” Meyers rapidly clarified. “They’re fucking going at each other.”

“Trump threatened to take away Elon’s government contacts. Elon said Trump was in the Epstein files,” Meyers famous, referring to paperwork concerning the late financier and convicted intercourse offender Jeffrey Epstein, whom Trump has denied ever flying with or visiting on “his stupid island.”
Although they have been as soon as allies of comfort, Trump and Musk soured on one another after Musk publicly opposed Trump’s so-called Massive Stunning Invoice to chop taxes and slash Medicaid this week. Musk took to X to label the invoice a “disgusting abomination.”
“In the span of three hours, they went from Elon criticizing the bill, to Trump threatening to take Elon’s contracts away, to Elon suggesting that Trump might be a pedophile,” Meyers recapped.
He then zeroed in on one downside with Musk’s suggestion that Trump was concerned in legal exercise with minors.
“If we are to take you at your word, Elon, you already knew that — and it wasn’t a dealbreaker,” he identified.
