Stephen Colbert Addresses ‘Late Present’ Cancellation At The Emmys – The Boston Courier

Stephen Colbert drew consideration to CBS’ controversial choice to finish his long-running “Late Show” throughout an look on the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.

CBS’ choice to nix Colbert’s program got here two weeks after Paramount International introduced that it might pay Trump $16 million to settle his lawsuit tied to “60 Minutes.”

A lot of Trump’s critics, together with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), insinuated that CBS’ cancellation of Colbert’s present might be linked to the Paramount settlement.

“The Late Show,” which premiered in 2015 and is scheduled to finish in Could 2026, scored its first Artistic Arts Emmy Award final Sunday. The accolade was given within the Excellent Directing for a Selection Collection class.
