The Seashore Boys caught a wave and rode it into the US High 10 for the primary time in Could 1963, when “Surfin’ U.S.A.” reached No.3. After an earlier High 20 single with “Surfin’ Safari,” Brian Wilson’s adaptation of Chuck Berry’s melody actually established the group as nationwide names. However the selection of follow-up single was going to be essential.
By August, following some singles co-written with Mike Love, it was time for Brian to get his preliminary credit score as a solo author, and for the primary time the producer, on a Seashore Boys hit. Swiftly browsing into the High 10
Any fears about Wilson’s formative writing expertise have been quickly laid to relaxation.
