Switzerland’s Hug will get eighth Boston Marathon wheelchair win, American Scaroni a 2nd in milestone yr

BOSTON (AP) — Marcel Hug of Switzerland blitzed to the entrance of the sector to win his eighth Boston Marathon wheelchair title, claiming the victory Monday within the 129th version of the race in 1 hour, 21 minutes, 34 seconds.

The 39-year-old Hug crossed the end line in downtown Boston to assert his fifth consecutive win within the race on the fiftieth anniversary of the primary official wheelchair finisher in Boston. Daniel Romanchuk of america was second in 1:25:58, adopted by Jetze Plat of the Netherlands in 1:30:16.
