Greater than 100 folks gathered to help each other within the 14th annual Suffolk County Murder Survivor’s Breakfast.
“It’s been said many, many times perhaps in different ways that all of us are unwilling and involuntary members of the same club,” stated Mark Lee, the chief of murder on the Suffolk District Lawyer’s workplace. “No one asked to be in this club, no one wants to be in this club, but we’re all in it. But it’s our club.
“And in our club we cherish, we support, we love and we’re brave,” he continued, “and that’s what makes this day so special.”
The members of that particular membership had breakfast Thursday morning at Florian Corridor in Dorchester, the place the identical occasion was held final 12 months. Supporting survivors of violent crimes and lowering these crimes, he stated, is “the cornerstone of all we do and this entire month is dedicated to homicide survivors and their loved ones they have lost. … Everything that we do centers around violence reduction.”
