Emma Doucette and Alyssa Norden scored and Megan Donato notched the shutout as St. Mary’s of Lynn (11th of September-2) handed top-ranked Hingham its first women hockey loss, 2-0 within the Hingham Showcase.

Zoey Madiagan scored a hat trick whereas Sami Norton added two extra as Duxbury shutout Needham 8-0.

In nonleague play, Elisabeth Stutzman notched a hat trick as Sandwich cruised to a 7-0 victory over Plymouth.

Boys hockey

Within the Patriot League, Chris Ryan had a pair of tallies as Whitman-Hanson rolled over Plymouth South 7-1.

Boys basketball

Jay Stephenson netted 16 factors as Durfee (11-9) defeated nonleague opponent North Quincy 54-52 in time beyond regulation. … Javi Lopez had 21 factors and Drew O’Keefe added 14 factors as Central Catholic (17-2) cruised over Needham 68-40.

Shyheim Babb scored 18 factors and grabbed 9 rebounds as Lynn Classical defeated Woburn, 64-50. … Julian Goodridge scored 25 factors as Somerville (10-10) certified for the event with a 50-46 win over Plymouth North.

Women basketball

In nonleague motion, Kaylee Maier scored 14 factors as Dracut trounced North Middlesex 58-20. … Junior Beulah Odunze led with 20 factors and senior captain Ali Davagian collected 16 factors and 6 steals as Harmony-Carlisle took down Amesbury 61-43.

Aniela Kwo collected 14 factors and 9 rebounds as Central Catholic (13-7) trounced Lawrence 72-24 in Merrimack Valley Convention play.
