Trump admin’s hiring freeze results in cuts at Massachusetts recreation areas

Native recreation areas this summer time may have “significantly reduced services” due to the Trump administration’s hiring freeze, in line with the U.S. Military Corps of Engineers.

The New England District on Monday introduced that the company will not be hiring its “summer Rangers” to handle the recreation facet of its applications in the course of the summer time months.

“Due to the hiring freeze, we are unable to hire the ‘summer Rangers,’ ” U.S. Military Corps of Engineers New England District mentioned in an announcement. “We are prioritizing public safety over recreation.”
