Plainly one “brilliant businessman” felt President Donald Trump was fairly obtuse earlier this week.
On Monday, a press convention meant to speak about drug pricing took a bizarre flip when Trump unleashed an unhinged diatribe about an unnamed and “overweight” buddy taking a weight-loss drug — or as Trump referred to as it, “the fat shot.”
“A friend of mine who is a businessman. Very, very, very top guy. Most of you would’ve heard of him. Highly neurotic. Brilliant businessman. Seriously overweight. And he takes the fat, the fat shot drug,” Trump started.

“And he called me up, and he said, ‘Uh, president’ — he calls me president, he used to call me Donald, now he calls me president, so that’s nice respect,” Trump continued.
After getting misplaced in his personal tangent for a bit, Trump went on to explain what his buddy mentioned on the decision.
“‘I’m in London. And I just paid for this damn fat drug I take.’ I said, ‘It’s not working,’” Trump joked. “He said, ‘I just paid $88. And in New York, I pay $1,300. What the hell is going on?’”
Properly, evidently this unnamed buddy wasn’t thrilled in regards to the president airing this tidbit about his private life publicly, or at the least in accordance with Trump.
On Tuesday, Trump instructed Fox Information host Sean Hannity aboard Air Power One that his unidentified buddy referred to as to confront him after the Monday press convention.
“I’m just glad I didn’t use his name,” Trump instructed Hannity.
“He’s actually a very rich guy, he’s a very successful guy. He’s very happy, he knows exactly who I was talking about. He called, he said, ‘That was interesting.’ He said he was very concerned that I might use his name.” The president added that the buddy “doesn’t have to worry.”
Though Trump didn’t use his pal’s title, the president certain gave the general public a couple of hints. A lot in order that Seth Meyers couldn’t assist poking enjoyable at how unslick Trump was about describing his buddy on his late present Monday.
“If your friend is so neurotic, as you say he is,” Meyers questioned about Trump. “He must be loving you slowly describing his identity to the national press.”
