WBZ’s Kate Merrill leaves Boston TV station after greater than 20 years: ‘We wish her the best’

WBZ’s Kate Merrill, a longtime staple on the native TV station, has reportedly give up after greater than 20 years with the outlet on Troopers Area Highway.

Many viewers have questioned the place Merrill has been in latest weeks. On Monday, the station confirmed that Merrill is now not with WBZ.

“Kate Merrill has decided to leave CBS Boston/WBZ,” the station stated in an announcement to the Herald. “We wish her the best.”

The Globe first reported the information.

“Kate has decided to move on from WBZ,” the corporate stated. “Thanks for the inquiry. We value our loyal viewers.”

Merrill didn’t instantly reply to the Herald about leaving WBZ.
