Someplace between a trippy daydream and the London underground, Zeds Useless‘s new single, “Sweet Memories,” hits you with that classic wobble that’ll make your bones keep in mind 2011.

Penning a gritty postcard from dubstep’s warehouse days, the influential duo has excavated their roots to serve up a slice of pure nostalgic filth. “Sweet Memories” is classic Zeds Useless, with thick, viscous bass that seeps via its woozy association like chilly honey.

There’s one thing nearly comforting about how the producers let their basic dubstep components breathe, resisting the trendy urge to overcomplicate.
